Arthur C. Mellette House
This is the 1883 home of Dakota Territory's last governor and the first governor of South Dakota. The restored home features family heirlooms, and is open May - September Tuesday – Sunday 1 – 5pm. Bramble Park Zoo & Discovery Center
Take a Walk on the Wild Side and experience over 500 mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish and invertebrates representing over 130 varieties from around the world and those native to South Dakota. You will also see primates, bison, elk, black bears and the newest of all, the alligator. The Children's area is a very special exhibit designed to allow children to fee and interact with animals. As you enter the zoo, you will want to take a short visit to the new Discovery Center. Observe fish, amphibians, reptiles and invertebrates up close. Bramble Park Zoo is located along US 20 in Northwest Watertown and also includes a picnic area, playground, and live animal demonstrations during the summer. Collington County Heritage Museum
The exhibits focus on the history of Collington County. Displays include a Victorian home, bank, dentist office and general store. Terry Redlin Art Center
The Art Center is the home of over 120 original images of the most popular artist for 8 years in a row - Terry Redlin. The beautiful 52,000 square foot center also houses a Domed Theater Show and a spacious gift shop. The gallery is one of South Dakota's most visited attractions. Relive memories of rural America through the popular artist's images, shop in the gift shop, and spend some family time walking the mile of beautiful finished walking trail just outside of the center.
